Obituary of Lottie Hardesty

Lottie M. Hardesty, 84, of Masontown passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born August 17, 1928 in Springdale, WV, the daughter of the late John Henry and the late Mary Elizabeth Sphar Gibson of Albright, WV. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Lottie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Masontown VFW Post # 1589 for 43 years, since 1969. She was Methodist by faith. Lottie is survived by five children; George E. Hardesty and wife Toni of Arthurdale, WV, Wilma Guthrie and husband Roger Sr. of Friendsville, MD, Mary Molesy and husband Charles (Doug) of Warren, OH, Marilyn Miller and husband Otis (Ray) Jr. of Morgantown, WV and Charlotte Knotts and husband Eldon (Happy) of Masontown, WV; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William Paul Hardesty in 1974, one grandson, two great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and three brothers; John, Jim and Fred Gibson. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 and Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8. The Ladies Auxiliary of Masontown VFW Post # 1589 will conduct their services Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 7pm. Services will be held at the Field Funeral Home on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Garry (Pete) Hennessey of Warren, OH officiating.
