Obituary of James May
James Robert May, Sr., 73, of Masontown, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born in Kingwood, on April 5, 1939, a son of the late Pauline V. (Shrout) and William F. May.
James was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He worked as a laborer at Greer Limestone for 28 1/2 years. He was also a member of AFL-CIO Union. He enjoyed the outdoors, loving to hunt, fish and camp.
James is survived by his wife, Janet May of Masontown; a son, James R. "Bobby" May Jr., and wife Heather of Masontown; three sisters, Betty Fizer, of Kingwood, WV; Nancy May, of Youngstown, OH; Martha Sypolt, of Kingwood, WV; five brothers, Donald May, of Kingwood, WV; Harold May, of Youngstown, OH; Charles May, of Kingwood, WV; Earl May, of Kingwood, WV; Gary May, of Kingwood, WV; a grandson, Dylan Michael Cale (the love of his life) and several brothers and sisters in law.
He was preceded in death by two brothers; Ronald May, Gerald May; father-in-law, Lewis Sanders, Sr. and wife Gloria.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 2 pm to 9 pm. Services will be held on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 1 pm at Field Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Frankhouser and Terry "T.J." Sanders Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Dunn Cemetery in Morgantown, WV.
