Zion Church in Masontown. Burial location: Mt. Zion Cemetery Notes: Edna Pearl Cale, 85, of Masontown passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Edna was born in Masontown on September 13, 1922, the daughter of the late Garfield and Margaret (Rohr) Shaffer. She retired from the Sterling Faucet Company after 21 years of service. She graduated from the Masontown High School in 1940 and attended the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Masontown. She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #1589. She is survived by two sons and spouses; Marvin and Sharon Cale of Masontown and Allen and Marilyn Cale of Morgantown; one brother, Dallas Shaffer of Kingwood, WV; seven grandchildren and spouses, Randall Allen and Cheryl Cale, Margaret Catherine Smith, Theresa Dawn and Rocky Andre, Brenda Ann Morris, Christopher William Cale, Edward Emmett and Laura Cale, Marlana Frances Cale and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Cale in 1983, one son, Edward Fay Cale in 1984, four brothers, two sisters, and one great grandson, Mason Andre. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday September 28th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the Mt. Zion Church in Masontown with Rev. William Winston officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Masontown, WV. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Sanjay Bharti, Dr. McKnight and the Staff of Mon General Hospital, with an extra special generosity of the 4th Floor Staff.
