Obituary of Mary Hight

Mary J. Hight, 82, of Masontown, WV passed away May 14, 2012 at her residence. She was born December 18, 1929 in Valley Bend, WV, the daughter of Clarence Glenn McLaughlin and Cleva (Stalnaker) McLaughlin of  Valley Bend. She graduated from Tygart Valley High School. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She worked for the Rape and Domestic Violence Information Center in Morgantown. She was a constant advocate for people with disabilities all her life. She enjoyed gardening and driving the bus for the Masontown Senior Center. Mary is survived by one daughter Linda Shigeta and her husband Layne Shigeta of the island of Kauai; two grandsons, Noah Osborn and Nicholas Shigeta and one brother Clarence McLaughlin, Jr. of Elkins. She was preceded in death by a special uncle Carl Stalnaker and her ex-husband Ralph J. Hight. To honor Ms. Hight's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral.
