Obituary of Anthony Macri
Anthony P. Macri, 76, of Masontown, WV, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012, at his residence.
He was born in Staten Island, NY, on December 27, 1935, a son of the late Rose Giovinazzo Macri and James Macri.
He was an avid carpenter and handyman. He was a parts manager for GM for 45 years and enjoyed automobiles, vacations and trips. He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Madeline Macri; two brothers, Joseph Macri of Staten Island, NY and Jerry Macri of Tampa, FL, two brothers-in-law and spouses; Ralph and Maria Watkins and Roy Watkins and Jeniffer Graham; one sister-in-law Goldie Lance and husband Henry and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters; Katie Forte and Nancy Martino, one brother, Angelo Macri, and his father and mother-in-law Clarance and Kathryn Watkins.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with the scripture prayer service being held at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at St. Zita Catholic Church in Masontown with Fr. Arthur Bufogle as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Masontown Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Preston County VFW Honor Guard, WVANG Honor Guard, and the Preston County Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 977.
