Shirley Ann Feather, 72, of Masontown, WV, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 29, 2012

She was born April 25, 1939, in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late Helen M. and Roy L. Shrout.

She was a hardworking homemaker who enjoyed life and volunteer work with several organizations. She was a past member of the board of directors for the Preston County Sheltered Workshop, a devoted participant in the Promise Organization and Relay for Life. She also spent countless hours taking care of others.

She is survived by three sons; Charles "Buck" R. Feather and wife Cathy of Denver PA, Jeffery L. Feather of Reedsville and Timothy R. Feather of Reedsville, two daughters; Julia A. Feather of Belington and Gloria Krass and husband David of Beckley, seven brothers; Ronnie Shrout and wife LouAnn of Ashland City, TN, Noah "Butch" Shrout and wife Kathy of Rising Sun, MD, Clyde Shrout of Bretz, WV, Jerry Shrout and wife Debbie of Mt. Airy, PA, Jack Shrout and wife Bonnie of Arthurdale, WV, Tim Shrout of Arthurdale, WV and Randy Shrout and wife Belinda of Acron, PA., one sister Wilma Poling of Newburg, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many, many special children and young adults who adopted Shirley as their mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Charles E. Feather, two sons; Michael E. Feather and Terry A. Feather, one sister Jean Lesher, three brothers; Robert Shrout, Charles Shrout and William Shrout.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service time with Rev. Sonny McNear officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Kingwood, WV.
