Obituary of Mary Wolfe

Mary Elizabeth Wolfe, 77, of Tunnelton, passed away on Tuesday, July 21st, 2009, at Heartland of Preston County. She was born on September 13, 1931 in Kingwood WV, the daughter of the late Roy M. and Sarah Ann Jenkins Albright. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was employed at Sterling Faucet in Morgantown for 26 years. She also worked as a housekeeper at Heartland of Preston County and as a cook at Windy Hill Manor. She is survived by three daughters and spouses, Marjorie & Timothy Weatherwax of Lawrenceville, GA, Frances Kellaway and companion John Browning of Grafton, WV, and Carolyn and Jody Helmick of Harpers Ferry, WV; two sons, Dorsey “Eugene” Gribble and wife Beverly, of Masontown, WV, and Gary Gribble and companion Ann Wyatt of Fellowsville, WV: two sisters, Nancy Taylor of Arthurdale, WV, and Martha Sisler and husband Frank of Bridgeport, WV; two brothers and spouses, Richard and Carmen Albright, of Kingwood, and Roy and Aleta Albright, of Tunnelton; a step-son,-Dennis Lee Wolfe and spouse Nancy of Fellowsville, WV; one step-daughter-in-law, Shirley Wolfe of Masontown, WV; 14 grandchildren, Michelle DeVinny, Heather Weatherwax, Sean Weatherwax, Carrie Kellaway, Amy Kellaway, Jacob Helmick, Cameron Helmick, Eric Gribble, Watson Gribble, Christy Tasker, G W Gribble, Brian Gribble, Ted Gribble, Johna Adams; three step-grandchildren, Charles Wolfe, Mark Wolfe, and Debbie Myers; 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren, four step great great granchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands; Harvey Edward Gribble, and Ernest Watson Wolfe; three brothers, Joseph Albright, Curtis Albright, and Marshall Albright; one sister, Betty Grubb; two sons, David Gribble and Harvey Gribble; one step-son Watson Junior Wolfe, one grandson, Michael Gribble; and one granddaughter Mary Beth Gribble, Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV, on Thursday, July 23 from 3 - 9 pm. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 24th, at the funeral home with the Pastor Tom Strahin officiating. Interment will follow at the Shay’s Chapel Cemetery in Tunnelton, WV.
