Obituary of Rose Valentine

Rose Valentine, 88, of Bretz, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at the residence of her niece, Eleanor Chico and nephew, William Chico with whom she made her home. She was born in Bretz, WV on May 16, 1923, the daughter of the late Steve and Barbara Toth Valentine. She worked for many years as a secretary for the Federal Aviation Administration and was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church in Morgantown. She also served in the Womens Air Corps during WWII. She is survived by one sister, Helen Fredette of Hernando, FL, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brother and two sisters. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be held at Field Funeral Home Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. with the Very Rev. Fr. Mark Ward, CP, VF. as celebrant officiating. Interment will follow at Masontown Cemetery, WV.
