Obituary of Richard Tolka

Richard Tolka Viewing times: Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral time: 1:00 p.m. Burial location: Masontown Cemetery Notes: Richard Allen Tolka, very loving husband, father and grandfather, 56, of Wana, WV, son of the late John Tolka and Della Blanche Cowger passed away Monday, June 25, 2007, at his home surrounded by family. He honorably served in the US Marine Corps from 1969-1973. He was employed as a mechanic for Consol Energy at Blacksville No. 2 for 35 years. During that time he proudly served on the Mine Rescue Team for 10 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Clara “Cookie” Tolka; son Joseph, Mary and Evan Cole of Fairview, WV; son Michael, Traci, Derrick and Lindsey Cole of Pentress, WV; son Bryan Tolka and Elizabeth Harless of Morgantown, WV; sister Doris Stone of Maidsville, WV; brother John and Rose Stone of Carmichaels, PA; brother Boyd Stone of Indianapolis, IN; sister Sophie Ponek of Morgantown, WV. He preceded in death by nephew Matthew Stone of Carmichaels, PA; brother Dana Stone, Morgantown, WV and sister Stella Smalasky of Stringtown, PA. His hobbies included fishing with grandchildren, riding his Harley Davidson and Clay Battelle High School Football. Special thanks to the dedicated nurses from Hospice; Ron, Rhonda and Doronda. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev.
