Obituary of Dorothy Thrasher

Dorothy Arlene Turner Thrasher, 75, of Masontown, WV passed away on Sunday December 5, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 23, 1935 in Masontown, WV, the daughter of the late Fred and Pluma White Turner. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of the Masontown Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and visiting with friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years Mick Thrasher; her only child, a daughter Doris McKinney Wilson and spouse Earl Jr of Newburg; step-children Brenda Hess of Masontown, Mickey Thrasher of Masontown, Rick Thrasher of Arthurdale and Dennis Thrasher of Melbourne, FL; a twin sister Doris of Warren, OH; two brothers, Fred Turner and spouse Grace of Burbank, CA and Alex “Buck” Turner and spouse Shirley of Masontown; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends including her special friends Buck and Libbey Lowdermilk and Bessie Haney, all of whom she was thankful for. She was preceded in death by her first husband Keith McKinney; four sisters Rosalie Turner, Rilla Rehe, Shirley Dunn, Pluma Boyles; six brothers Kramer, Herbert, Roy, Raymond, John and Robert Turner. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Wednesday December 8 from 3 - 5 & 7 - 9 pm. Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday December 9 at 1 pm with Rev.
