June 11, 2006 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral time: Monday June 12 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel Burial location: WV National Cemetery - Pruntytown, WV Notes: Junior Okey Thomas, age 73, of Bretz, WV went to be reunited with his loving wife of 43 years, LaVerna, on Wednesday June 7, 2006. He was born July 27, 1932 in Kingwood a son of the late Okey and Ethel Shears Thomas. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, who will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Sterling Faucet after 43 years of service and enjoyed working on cars.. He is survived by two sons and spouses, Skip and Nancy Thomas of Masontown, Duane and Amy Thomas of Bretz; three daughters and spouses, Kathy and Tim Sanders of Bretz, Dottie and Joe Taylor of Lennox, and Junette and Tim DeWitt of Morgantown; two brothers, Bruce and Edna Thomas of Bretz, and Robert Thomas of Masontown; two sisters, Madeline Ennis of Masontown and Pauline Shaffer of Windom, OH; a sister in law, Vivian Thomas of Bretz; 19 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Billie; four brothers, Harry Thomas, Alvie Thomas, Willard Thomas, and an infant brother Georgie Thomas; and an infant sister, Virginia Thomas. Friends will be received at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Saturday, June 10, 2006 from 6-8 pm , Sunday, June 11, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and on Monday, June 12, 2006 from 12 noon until the 1pm service time with the Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at the Veterans National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV on Monday June 12, 2006 at 2:30 pm with full military graveside rites.
