Willard Teets Nick name: 'Butch' Viewing times: Tuesday July 1, 2008 form 2-4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral time: Wednesday July 2, 2008 at 1 PM Burial location: Masontown Cemetery Notes: Willard Elvon “Butch” Teets, age 65, of Masontown passed away Saturday June 28, 2008 at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown. He was born May 4, 1943 in Preston County a son of the late Prentis and Elda Liston Teets. Butch was an avid hunter and fisherman. He retired from the Humphry #7 coal mine after 32 years of service. He was a US Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #1589 in Masontown. He is survived by his ex-wife, Delores Teets of Masontown; one daughter, Theresa Messenger of Masontown; two grandchildren, Rachelle and Shanelle Messenger; three brothers and spouses; Iven and Jackie Teets of Masontown, Larry and Sharon Teets of Reedsville, and Everett and Julie Teets of Ohio, six nieces; Alicia Calvert, Selena Teets, Sabrina Legett, Pam Wilson, Lynn Teets, and Christine Pettry; five nephews, Ivan Teets, Marvin Teets, Harley Teets, Steve Bernas, and James Pettry, and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin P. Teets Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Tuesday July 1, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held 1 p.m. July 2, 2008 at the Funeral Home with the Pastor William Winston officiating. Interment will follow at the Masontown Cemetery. The Masontown VFW Post #1589 and Preston County VFW Honor Guard will conduct military rites.
