Obituary of Richard Tasker

Richard Ray “Pete” Tasker, Sr, 87, of Indian Rocks, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in the comfort of his family. He was born January 21, 1924 in Oakland, MD, the son of the late Noah Tasker and Cora Baker Tasker. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He was a machinist at Camp Dawson. He is survived by five sons, Richard and wife Rita, Roger and wife Judy, Robert and wife Wilma ( Skeeter ), Ronald and wife Beth, Randy and wife Tammy, all of Reedsville; one daughter, Sandy and husband Grover Fitchett of Valley Point; a son in law, Roger Greaser of Kingwood; one brother Charles of Kingwood; one sister Angelue Manning of Florida; 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Doralee Marjorie Livengood “Duke” Tasker, a beloved daughter, Joyce Greaser, three sisters and seven brothers. Friends may call at Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 2 - 4 pm & 7 - 9 pm. Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Field Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Starling and Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Reedsville. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.fieldfuneralhome.com.
