Obituary of Gladys Sigley

Gladys Florence Hamrick Sigley, age 67, passed away Friday March 19, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born July 6, 1942 in Terra Alta, WV, a daughter of the late Homer Herbert Hamrick and Gertrude Mearl Schooley Hamrick. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker who loved to work in her garden. She also loved camping, fishing, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Masontown Senior Citizens. She is survived by two sons and spouses; Charles Sigley Jr. and spouse Lisa of Reedsville, Brian Sigley and spouse Linda of Arthurdale; three daughters Debbie Hess and spouse Bill of Pursglove, Barbara Jenkins and spouse Clyde of Masontown, and Sharon Sigley of Reedsville; four sisters Dolly Everly and spouse Charles of Terra Alta, Betty Broadwater and spouse Charles of Louisa, VA, Linda Kope of Terra Alta, and Rosalee Reeves of Rawlings, MD; three brothers, James Hamrick and spouse Rose of DE, John Hamrick and spouse Vickie of Morgantown, and Alva Hamrick and spouse Carolyn of Akron, OH; five grandchildren, Heather, Danielle, Billy Hess, Brandon Sigley, and Dallas Jenkins and a special friend Loretta Uphold. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years Charles W. “Bud” Sigley Sr. on December 25, 2009. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 2 - 4 pm and on Monday, March 22, 2010 from 2 - 4 & 7 -9 pm. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 1 pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Salt Lick Community.
