Dorthy Shingleton Viewing times: Tuesday November 21, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral time: Wednesday November 22, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. Burial location: Arthurdale Cemetery Notes: Dorthy Mae Shaw Shingleton, 75, of Reedsville, WV, died Sunday, November 19, 2006, at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved camping at Big Bear Lake and taking care of her beloved dogs. She was born September 3, 1931, in Booth, WV, the daughter of the late Ulman Cleo Shaw and Della Mae Shaw. She was the youngest of six children. She is survived by a son and spouse, Cleo and Ruth Marsh of Plantation, FL; five daughters, Rita and spouse Richard Tasker , Betty and spouse Larry Cartwright, Carolyn Murray, Delores Myers, and Robin Shingleton, all of Reedsville; two brothers, Dempsey Shaw of Arthurdale and Walter Shaw of Reedsville; a sister in-law, Janet Beattie of Reedsville; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great- grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Edward Shingleton; a son, Kenneth Shingleton; and a granddaughter, Sara Marsh. Friends will be received at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, Tuesday, November 21, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the funeral home with the Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow at the Arthurdale Cemetery.
