He was born on May 24, 1953 in Morgantown, WV, a son of the late Millard “Allen” and Hattie Wolfe Shaffer. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandson. He liked photography and was employed as a LPN at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood, WV for 25 years and owned and operated Satellite Entertainment in Masontown. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Masontown. He was also a graduate of Valley High School and attended WVU. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mildred “Midge” Anderson Shaffer; one daughter Tracy Shaffer and companion Jimmy Rosenberger of Morgantown, WV; one son, Jason Shaffer of Reedsville, WV; one sister, Debbie Hines and husband Donald of Masontown, WV; one brother, David Shaffer of Littleton, CO; one grandson, Logan Rosenberger and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, August 3, 2007 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Masontown, WV on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Robert Bolyard officiating. Interment will follow at the Arthurdale Cemetery, Arthurdale, WV.
