Obituary of Hazel Shaffer

Hazel Marie Shaffer, age 88, of Reedsville, departed this life Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Heartland of Preston County. She was born February 25, 1922 in Reedsville a daughter of the late Otis and Blanch Clark Holmes. She was a homemaker and a member of Masontown Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter and spouse; Donna and Joe Stuchell of Reedsville, one sister Marlene McCoin of Heartville, OH; three grandchildren, Tracy Street, Lori Baker, and Christina Stuchell all of Reedsville; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Foster W. Shaffer; one brother, Donald O. Holmes; and one sister, Betty Pierce. Friends may call at Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday August 27, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday August 28, 2010 at the Funeral Home with Rev.
