Obituary of Jessie Roth

Jessie Lucille Roth, 89, of Masontown passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 8, 2010 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Masontown, WV on March 30, 1921, a daughter of the late Lester E. and Bessie Harned Albright. Jessie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a loyal friend to many. She was a lifetime member of Masontown United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Society, and the Extension Homemakers. She was the Kindergarten Sunday School teacher at the church for over 20 years. Jessie also was a Cub Scout denmother, 4H leader for many years, and worked on the election board for many years. After graduating from Masontown High School she graduated from the Fairmont Business College. She then worked at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio before starting her family. She is survived by three sons and spouses; Lynn and Betty Roth of Jacksonville, FL., Bob and Debby Roth of Reedsville, and Roger Roth of Masontown; four grandsons, Rob Roth and fiancee' Christina Lanham, Christian Roth and wife Jessica, Isaac Roth and wife Michelle, and Michael Roth and wife Missy; six great-grandchildren; one brother and spouse, Earl and Beanie Albright of Titusville, Fl; sister in law and brother in law, Glenna and William King of North Versailles, PA.; and a SPECIAL LOVING AND COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVER for the past eight years, Charlotte Brown and her daughter Miah Brown that Jessie truly loved and adored. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy L. "Bud" Roth on September 11, 2001; an infant sister; brother in law, Wayne Roth; and sister in law, Eleanor Roth. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday September 10, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday September 11, 2010 at the Masontown United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sam Starling officiating. Interment will follow in the Masontown Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the Masontown United Methodist Church PO Box 536, Masontown, WV 26542.
