Obituary of Richard Reed

Richard Dale Reed, 60, of Reedsville, WV, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2009 at his home. He was born on February 12, 1949 in Reedsville, the son of the late Benjamin and Orpha Estel Shaffer Reed. He was retired from Emerald Coal Company, where he worked as a coal miner. He loved football, his dog Callie, and enjoyed driving his Corvette. He is survived by his companion, Linda Reynolds, of Reedsville, her children, Victor Reynolds and wife Bell, and Candice Durham her children, and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by three brothers, Donald Wayne Reed, Ray Reed, and Benjamin Reed and two sisters, Norma Jean Smith and Shirley Reed. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV, on Saturday, September 19, from 7 - 9 pm. Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 20 at 2pm.
