Obituary of Jackson Radabaugh

Jackson Noel Radabaugh, 86, of Masontown, passed away Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Reedsviile on May 27, 1925, a son of the late Clarence W. and Mildred DeBerry Radabaugh. He was a retired coal miner who had worked at Consolidation Coal Co.'s Osage No. 3 mine for many years. He was a member of Masontown United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was a life member of American Legion Post 56, Masontown VFW Post 1589, and Kingwood Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 2391. He is survived by a stepdaughter, Connie Sue Moran & husband Mark of Annapolis, MD; a stepson, Ronald "Butch" Richardson & wife Cathy of Brandy Station, VA; a sister, Helen Stemple of Lake Placid, FL; two brothers, Russell Radabaugh of Bradenton, FL., and Paul Radabaugh & wife Connie of Masontown; three stepgrandchildren and spouses, Stacy & Matt Borror of Kingwood, Michael & Jackie Richardson of Morgantown, and Joe & Amy Richardson of Camden, NC; stepgreat-grandchildren, Marty, Jacob, Zachery, Dominic, Joshua, Jennifer, Giuliana, and Gabrielle; and eight nieces and nephews. He also is survived by a caretaker, Bonnie Atkins of Tunnelton; her children, Jamie Bolyard, Lonnie Atkins, Jennifer Greaser and Jason Atkins; and her grandchildren, Fox, Scott, Bonnie Jo, Jonathan, Abby, Ivy, Frankie, Trinidy, Jackson and Emily. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Rodgers Radabaugh, and a sister, Lucy Ann Radabaugh. Friends may call at Field Funeral Home, Masontown, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at the funeral home with Rev. Sam Starling officiating. Cremation will follow. Inurnment will be in Masontown Cemetery at a later date.
