Loretta Nicholson Nick name: June Viewing times: Tuesday September 19, 2006 from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral time: Tuesday September 19, 2006 at 6 p.m. at the Funeral Home Burial location: Inurnment at Sunset Memorial Gardens Notes: Loretta “June” Greathouse Nicholson, age 77, of Morgantown, formerly of Masontown, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at home. She was born in Bull Run a daughter of the late Vester and Ona Pearl Jenkins Greathouse. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She retired after 22 years of service from the Dietary and Housekeeping Departments of West Virginia University. She was also a member of the former Bull Run Community Church. She is survived by three daughters and spouses; Karen Sue and Daniel “Jack” Murray of Fellowsville; Charlotte and Alan Bennett of Morgantown; Ellen and Herschel (“Herk”) Kessler of Elkins; four brothers; Jackson Greathouse of Masontown, William “Moody” Greathouse of Arthurdale, Allen Greathouse of Morgantown, and Edgar Greathouse of South Bend, IN; two sisters, Brenda Greathouse of Morgantown, and Ruby Cale of Masontown; six grandchildren and spouses; Daniel Scott and Tammi Murray, John Wayne and Jennifer Murray, Ed and Anita Bauer, Ashley Bennett, Stephanie Bennett, and David Bennett; seven great-grandchildren; Hannah Murray, Heather Murray, Seth Murray, Sam Murray, Olivia Murray, Madison Murray, and Hunter Bauer; several nieces and nephews and step-mother Zeda Greathouse. She was preceded in death by three brothers; Ronald Greathouse, Arthur Greathouse and Victor Greathouse and two sisters; Virginia Nicholson and an infant sister. Cremation services will be provided by the Field Funeral Home in Masontown. Friends will be received at the Field Funeral Home on Tuesday 19, 2006 from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. memorial service with Pastor Lois Kessler officiating. Inurnment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Kingwood.
