Obituary of Norma McCrobie

Norma Jeraldine Huffman McCrobie, age 86, of Masontown passed away Wednesday August 4, 2010 at Heartland of Preston County in Kingwood with her loving family by her side. She was born February 29, 1924 in Ruth Belle, Preston County, a daughter of the late Enoch Sid Huffman and Elsie Mae Lipscomb Huffman. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was employed at the Morgan Shirt Factory in Morgantown for several years and was a life member of the Tunnelton VFW Post 2345 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. She also was a devoted Dallas Cowboy fan. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Stuchell of Reedsville and Arvelva “Bobbie” McCrobie of Masontown; three sons and spouses, Terry and Pat McCrobie of Reedsville, Gary and Rita McCrobie of Bretz, and Richard and Cindy McCrobie of Reedsville; one sister, Sidney Mae Anderson of Harper’s Ferry, WV; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Delmar McCrobie, one son, Gerald Huffman; and two sisters, Ester Bartoletta, and Rebecca Spangler, Friends may call at the Field Funeral home in Masontown on Friday August 6, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m and on Saturday August 7, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday August 8, 2010 at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Neil Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in the Masontown Cemetery. The Masontown VFW Post 1589 Ladies Auxiliary will conduct services on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.fieldfuneralhome.com.
