Obituary of Betty Lambert

Betty Marie Lambert, 83, of Fairmont, WV, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010, at her residence. She was born in Preston County on December 27, 1926, the daughter of the late Nina Strawser. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She worked at Peerless and Bellman Laundromats as well as private housekeeping. She loved gardening and canning. She attended the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Masontown and was a member of the Goshen Baptist Church in Morgantown. She was a greeter and enjoyed hugging people and told everyone she loved them. She is survived by two daughters, Cathie Carroll and husband Michael of Salisbury, NC and Linda Morris and husband Steven of Morgantown, WV; one son, Jerry Lambert of Fairmont, WV; one sister, Rita Abbott and husband Eddie of Kingwood, WV; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wade Lambert; her stepfather, Ray Strawser and one brother, Joy Wayne Strawser. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Services will be held at 1pm on Monday November 22, 2010 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Masontown with Rev. Joseph Lamm and Rev. Dan Meadows officiating.
