Obituary of Velma Kirk

Velma Lorraine Kirk, age 84, of Masontown, went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2010. She was born April 11,1926, in Masontown, a daughter of the late Monnie Cale. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Since her illness, she resided with her granddaughter, Sheila Gilbert, in Morgantown, where she passed on Friday, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by a daughter and husband, Iris and Bill Graham of Morgantown; a son and wife, Robert and Charlotte Kirk Jr. of SC; two granddaughters, Sheila Gilbert of Morgantown and Debra Lineberry of SC; two great grandchildren, Brittany Gilbert and Brandon Gilbert of Morgantown, a great, great granddaughter, McCabe Williamson of SC; a half sister, Alma Taylor of Masontown and several nieces, nephews, brother in laws and sister in laws. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Kirk, Sr.; a sister, Ila Gale Taylor; and a great grandson, Kristafer Gilbert . The Field Funeral Home in Masontown will provide cremation services. A memorial service will be held at the Field Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 3pm with Pastor Craig Fulkenstine officiating.
