She was born August 1, 1911, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Harvey J. and Ora Shriver Weaver. Mrs. Kees was a retired school teacher. She taught many years in both Preston and Monongalia counties. She was a longtime member of the Masontown United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Kay Nelson and her husband John; and one grandson, John Nicholas Nelson, all of Gainesville, FL. She married Paul L. Kees on November 30, 1934. Paul preceded her in death on October 17, 1977. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Simon J. Weaver, and one sister, Mildred Myer. Friends will be received at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Thursday, December 28, 2006 from 6 until 8 p.m. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2006. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Kingwood, WV.
