Obituary of Walter Johnson

Walter (Doug) Johnson, 62, of Reedsville, WV, took his last breath while surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, December 20th, 2009. He was born on March 7, 1947, in Brownsville, PA, the son of the late Jessie and Alma Mayle Johnson. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War in 1969 - 1970. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patricia Johnson, three sons, Wesley (Monk) Johnson, William (Bill) Johnson, and Walter (Buddy) Johnson, all of Reedsville, WV; three daughters, Jamie and spouse Jeremy Stout of New Phila, OH, Wendy Johnson, Jessica Johnson, of Reedsville, WV; a brother William (Wick) Johnson and spouse Carolyn of Morgantown, WV; a half-brother, Teddy Mayle, of Dry Tavern, PA; ten grandchildren, Destiny & Trinity Stout, Leah, Nina, Nathaniel Strahin, Ty, Samantha, Tabatha Johnson, Cheyenne Tennant, and Chloe Marsh, a niece April Tennant and a nephew, Andrew Moats. He was proceeded in death by a sister, Patricia Moats, and a grandson, Jeremy W. Stout Jr. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV on Tuesday, December 22, from 4-8 pm. Services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, December 23rd. with the Rev. Ronald Funk officiating. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Pruntytown, where military rites will be conducted. Memorial donations may be made to the Field Funeral Home, 10537 Veterans Memorial Highway, Masontown, WV 26542 to help with funeral expenses.
