Obituary of Gary Howdershelt

Gary Allen Howdershelt, 55, of Independence, WV, passed away on November 8, 2011, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 2, 1956 in Oakland, MD, the son of the late Charles William and Mary Virginia Goff Howdershelt. He was a loving husband and father. He was a surface miner for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Angela Howdershelt; one son, Justin Howdershelt and wife Denise, and one special uncle Ralph Howdershelt; and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Robert “Chuck” Howdershelt, and a special aunt, Alice Zirkel. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday November 12, 2011 at the funeral home.
