Obituary of Jaylah Mae Phillip
Jaylah Mae Phillip, 20, of Morgantown, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, in Morgantown.
She was born in Altoona, PA, on July 28, 2004, a daughter of Jason Phillip and Alisha Lockard.
Jaylah was a line cook at Olive Garden in Morgantown. She had a true talent for art and a pure love for music of every genre and culture. She loved animals of all types, but cats and reptiles were her favorite. Jaylah had a heart of gold. She was very giving and selfless.
In addition to her parents, Jaylah is survived by her siblings, Tiana Phillip, Arianna Hayes, and Liam Hayes; paternal grandmother, Carol Phillip; maternal grandparents, Mike and Veronica Giest; stepfather, Darren Hayes; step grandparents, Melissa Bennett and Darren Hayes, Sr., and aunt, Chelsea Bennett.
Jaylah is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Jeffrey Phillip.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jalyah's memory can be made to the Field Funeral Home, 10537 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Masontown, WV 26764, to help the family with funeral expenses.
To honor her wishes, the Field Funeral Home of Masontown, WV, will be entrusted with cremation services. It is our honor to be assisting Jaylah's family at this time.
