Zion Cemetery Notes: Robert Victor Haught, Sr., age 71, of Tunnelton, WV, passed away, Thursday, August 14, 2008 at home. He was born on April 12, 1937 at Saltlick, Terra Alta, WV, a son of the late Wesley Ray and Clara Alberta Martin Haught. He was loved by his family and he loved his family with unconditional love. He was always glad to spend time with each of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He welcomed every new family member with love. Him and Shirley tried their best when raising their six children. He was named after his grandfathers, Robert Haught and Victor Martin. He graduated from Tunnelton High School and Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, Illinois. He worked for J.W. Ruby in Reedsville and the Sheidow Bronze Plant in Kingwood for twenty years. He was an avid sports fan of WVU, the Pittsburgh Steelers, NASCAR and a big Dale Earnhart, Sr. fan. He will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Jean Wolfe, Tunnelton and were married in Oakland, Maryland on February 24, 1956; three sons and spouses, Robert and June Haught, Jr., Michael Haught and James “Pete” Haught and Sonya all of Tunnelton; three daughters and spouses, Debra Larew and Randy Shipp, Grafton, WV, Gloria & Mark Haddix, Newburg, WV and Rhonda and Brian Amos, Terra Alta, WV; one sister, Dorothy Jean Rouppet, PA; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Haught; three sisters, Gladys Teets, Mabel Haught and Louise Martin; one granddaughter, Tonya Lynnette Shaffer;one great granddaughter Mackenzie Lyna Larew and one step granddaugher, Christine Renee Gabbert. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV on Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 2-9 p.m. and on Sunday, August 17, 2008 from noon until the 2:00 p.m. service time with the Rev. Robert Uphold and Rev. Burl Haddix officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
