Obituary of Margaret Harrison

Margaret Pearl (Buckingham) Harrison, 68, of Tunnelton, WV, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Baltimore, MD on April 29, 1956, a daughter of the late Guy Vernon Buckingham, Sr. and Mary Catherine (Jenkins) Buckingham.

Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved everyone and was always more worried about them than herself. She loved people in general and was like a mother to anyone who needed it. Family was everything to her. If anyone needed truthful advice, Margaret was there to give it, rather you liked it or not. She was a strong woman of faith attending First Christian Apostolic Church in Tunnelton for over 15 years and praying for anyone in need. She worked as a cook for Howesville Head Start, McDonald's and Mountaineer Challenge Academy. She was also a bus aide for the head start. During her time cooking at Howesville Head Start she was presented with an award for her volunteer time there by A. James Manchin. Margaret loved to craft, making plaster of paris Christmas ornaments and "kiss critters" that held Hershey Kisses. She had a smile that would light up the room, she will be missed by many.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, William Harrison, Sr.; daughter, Margaret A. Chipps and husband, Kenny of Tunnelton; son, William "Billy" Harrison, Jr. and wife, Jenenessa of Tunnelton; three grandchildren, Madison A. Chipps, Jensen Harrison and Journee Catherine Ann Harrison; one brother, Guy Vernon Buckingham, Jr. of Kingwood; two sisters, Carolyn Taylor and husband, Curtis and Shirley Dillsworth all of Kingwood, and several nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Buckingham and William "Pete" Buckingham and a brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Dillsworth.
