Mary Emma Calvert, 72, of Newburg, WV, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024, at home.

Mary was born in Mill Port, Alabama, on June 10, 1952, a daughter of the late Leon and Miriam (Whelden) Thompson.

Mary is survived by her husband, Robert Calvert; children, Robert Hynes and wife, Cheryl of Bybee, TN, Kristen Bacon and husband, Bryan of Johnson City, TN, Sean Madden and wife, Sandi of Oswego, NY, and Mark Madden and wife, Dawn of Buffalo, NY; step-children, Robert Calvert and wife, Tabetha and Ashley Johnson and husband, Robert all of Masontown, WV; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Mildred “Millie” Costello and husband, Mickey, and brother Chesley “Chez” Thompson and wife Donna.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by a brother, Leon Earl Thompson.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 12:00 pm until the 2:00 pm time of service with Pastor Kelly Gamble officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
