She was born on November 8, 1917 in Preston County, Masontown, WV, a daughter of the late John W. and Elvira B. Radabaugh Huggins. She graduated from Masontown Valley High School and during WWII she supported the war effort by working at Silman Manufacturing Company in Arthurdale making radio parts for the Signal Core. She also worked at the Nursery School in Arthurdale that was started by Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt and was employed by Morgantown Glassware and Sterling Faucet Company in Morgantown. For thirty-six years she enjoyed helping on school bonds and elections at Brown’s Chapel. She is survived by one son and spouse, Rodney K. and Sharon Hartley of Morgantown, WV and one grandson and spouse, Rodney A. and Amy Hartley of Fairmont, WV and one niece Joy Mroz of Masontown, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert H. Hartley in January; one sister, Lucy Nuce; a niece Mary G. Nuce and one brother-in-law, Lloyd Nuce. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the funeral home with the Rev. Ronald Funk officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Herring, WV.
