Obituary of Mary Ellen Lewis

Mary Ellen (Fortney) Lewis, 72, of Kingwood, WV, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown. She was born in Meadville, PA on September 10, 1951, a daughter of the late George and Carmen Collingwood. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed working puzzles and coloring. When she was younger, she enjoyed traveling with J&J Amusements and enjoyed the carnival. Her greatest love came from spending time with her family. Mary is survived by her husband, Carl Lewis of Kingwood; two sons, David Collingwood and wife Kathy of Kingwood and George Collingwood and wife Trish of Bretz; one daughter, Esther Cole and husband Terry of Kingwood; her stepchildren with Willard; grandchildren, Kayla McCrobie and husband Jason, Hayle Collingwood, Taylor Delgado and husband Brent, Shane Washington and wife Rebekah, Samantha Rambo and companion Codie, Shyanna Johnson and companion Frank Audia, Samantha Collingwood and companion Ashton Adams and Dakota Collingwood; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Kage, Johnnie, Avalynn, Jaelynn, Oakleigh, Sophia, Nevaeh, Frankie and Aria and two sisters, Ermal Yoho and husband George of Aliquippa, PA and Helen Gould. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Willard Fortney and one son, John Collingwood. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 4 until the 6 pm time of service with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. To honor Mary's wishes she will then be cremated.
