Obituary of Kimberly Sue Hovatter

Kimberly Sue "Kim" Hovatter, 57, of Reedsville, WV, unexpectedly passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, at home. She was born in Morgantown, WV, on January 31, 1967, the daughter of Theodore and Carolyn (Peaslee) Cress of Masontown. Kim was a 1985 graduate of West Preston High School. She was part owner of S&K Sanitation. Kim enjoyed shopping, listening to music (especially 80s rock), camping, and most of all loved spending time with family. In addition to her parents, Kim is survived by one daughter, Megan Hayes and husband, Josh of Kingwood; two sons, Jared Hovatter and wife, Katie, and Ryan Hovatter both of Masontown; two grandchildren, Amelia and Coen Hovatter; aunt, Geraldine Giuliani, and dog, Frankie. Kim is preceded in death by her infant son, Justin Hovatter. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. David Spence officiating. Interment will follow in the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery in Morgantown.
