Obituary of Deborah G Pifer

Deborah G "Debbie" Pifer, 69, of Reedsville, WV, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by her side.

 

She was born in Grafton, WV on June 2, 1954, a daughter of the late Arthur Franklin and Betty Rosalee (Sanders) Shahan.

 

Debbie was a 1972 Newburg High School graduate. She went to Garrett Community College where she obtained an associate degree in criminal justice at the age of 46. Debbie attended New Life Ministries in Reedsville. She was strong in her faith and loved to sing at church, weddings, and funerals. Debbie was selfless, always wanting to lend a helping hand. She was a wonderful cook, each year hosting family Christmas so everyone could enjoy her meals. Debbie's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies.

 

Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Pete Pifer; two sons, Matthew Pifer of Reedsville, and Adam Pifer and wife Katelyn of Terra Alta; two grandchildren, Anderson Beck and Birdie Mae; brother, Charlie Shahan and wife, Nancy of Fellowsville; sister-in-laws, Bertie Trembly and husband, Charles of Terra Alta, and Cindy Moats of Parsons; several nieces and nephews and dog, Lizzy.

 

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home on Monday, March 4, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm time of service with Pastor Mike Charlton officiating. Interment will be held at the Mount Israel Cemetery in Fellowsville.
