Tony Ray Johnson, 57, of Masontown, WV, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

He was born in Morgantown, on July 3, 1966, a son of the late Cidney and Frances (Shaffer) Johnson.

Tony's greatest joy was his family, hunting, and spending time in the woods. He was a true mountain man at heart. Tony was a kind man with a heart of gold, often helping anyone that asked. He was a fighter all the way to the end.

Tony is survived by his beloved daughters, Alicia Johnson and Tara Johnson (Jim); son, George Solley; grandson, Abel Solley; siblings, Patty Calvey (Keith), Tina Johnson, and Cidney Johnson, Jr. (Caroline); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Tony is preceded in death by, maternal grandparents, John and Iva Shaffer; paternal grandparents, Cora and Maurice Johnson; and his brother-in-law, Timothy Calvey, Sr.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV, on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 2:00 pm until the 5:00 pm time of service with Pastor Jack Williams officiating. In honor of Tony's wishes, cremation services will follow.
