Obituary of Mildred E. Zinn

Mildred E. (Lawrence) Dixon Zinn, 85, of Masontown, WV, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at Morgantown Health and Rehabilitation. She was born in Lead Mine, WV on October 15, 1938, a daughter of the late William Martin Lawrence and Inez Millie (Likens) Lawrence. Mildred was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved Jesus with her whole heart and dedicated her life to serving him & caring for her family. She was an amazing cook and homemaker. She loved to play the piano & guitar in which she self-taught herself. She attended the Irona Church in Tunnelton. She is survived by three children; Robert "Bob" Dixon and wife Carol, Loretta Dixon and Randy Lee Zinn and wife Carrie all of Kingwood; two step daughters, Cathy Zinn La Porta of Bladenboro, NC and Kim Zinn of SC; four grandchildren, Samantha Stone and husband Kevin, Anthony Dixon and wife Tiffany, Michael Dixon and Miranda Garbart and husband Brian; ten great grandchildren; two step grandchildren TJ Fike and Cassandra Fike; and one brother, William "Bill" Lawrence of Huntington, WV She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Melvin Dixon; second husband, Richard L. Zinn; two stepsons, Roger Zinn and David Zinn; one stepdaughter, Patty Zinn; two brothers, Denzil Likens and Floyd "Jake" Lawrence and two sisters, Nettie Bayles and Mary Kerr. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 2 – 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Warnick officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Masontown.
