Obituary of Sharon Lucile Hartley

Sharon Lucille (Kifer) Hartley, 67, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, January 1, 2016. She was born in Westernport, MD on July 24, 1948, the oldest of ten children of Dorothy E. (Miller) Kifer of Morgantown and the late Walter L. Kifer. Sharon was a loving wife and devoted mother. She loved all of nature and animals of every species. She never met a stranger, human or beast. She enjoyed feeding the Canadian geese that came to her home and raised their families in her pond. Sharon loved needlework, sewing, crosswords, the outdoors but mostly she loved taking care of her family. She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate of 43 years, Rodney K. Hartley; loving son, Rodney A. Hartley and wife Amy; three brothers. Robert L. Kifer Morgantown, Michael R. Kifer and wife Mary Ann of NV and James H. Kifer and wife Patricia of Morgantown; five sisters, Linda M. Marquess and husband Melvin, Donna L. Tennant and husband Stephen of Fairview, WV, Judy L. Kifer of Morgantown, Rhonda K. Moore of Morgantown and Shirley A. Kifer of Core; twelve nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph W. Kifer. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 4 -8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. with Rev.
