Obituary of Stevie Nickels

Stevie Gene Nickels, 22, of Arthurdale passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015. He was born in Kingwood on October 16, 1992, a son of Sherry (Shelton) and Donnie Nickels of Arthurdale. He dearly loved spending time with his family. Stevie attended Preston High School. He worked as a coal miner for GMS at the Bailey Mine. Stevie enjoyed spending time with his son, whom was his pride and joy and making people laugh. He also enjoyed motorcycle and four wheeler riding, water sports and fishing. Stevie was baptized in the apostolic church. In addition to his parents Stevie is survived by his son, Brantly Gene Nickels; his companion, Lianna King of Kingwood; two sisters, Bekki Elischer and husband Timmy of Smithfield, PA and Terri Nickels and companion Jeff Williams of Morgantown, WV; grandparents, Steve Shelton and wife Rita of VA and Bobbie Justus of VA; great grandmother, Draxie Elswick; uncle, Steve Allen Shelton of Pocahontas, VA; aunts, Lisa Neyman and husband Ted of Independence and Tessy Williams and husband Brian of Pikeville, KY; uncles, Gene and Gary Justus and aunt, Lisa Collingwood of Morgantown; niece, Khloe Marie Williams; several great aunts and uncles and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnny and Lilly Nickels and great grandparents, Johnny William and Ruthie May Nickels. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastors A.C. Mann, Tim Dalton and Frankie Lester officiating. Interment will follow at the Arthurdale Cemetery. Condolences may be extended online to the family at www.fieldfuneralhome.com.
