Obituary of Charles Collins

Charles Henry (Buck) Collins, Sr., 80, of Kingwood, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his home. He was born in Bruceton Mills, WV on April 8, 1934, a son of the late Lucy E. (Copenman) and Floyd M. Collins. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. Charles was a truck driver for 56 year then drove the senior citizen bus for 10 years. He was a lifetime member of the Kingwood Eagles, Kingwood VFW and Terra Alta Moose. Charles is survived by loving wife of 60 years, Mary Jo (Strawser) Collins; two daughters, Cindy "CJ" Falls and her companion Charlie Bigler, of Kingwood; Lucy Metz and husband Henry, of Reedsville; a son, Charles "Chuck" Collins Jr., of Caldwell, OH; 15 grandchildren, Terri Moats, Chuck Collins, Chris Collins, Billie Lewellyn, Shane Comberiati, Jodi Deusenberry, Angel Hardy, Jeff Bigler, Becky Wotring, Robert Worting, Chassie Smith, Beverly Collins, Stacy Metz, Kim Weaver and Henry Metz II, 39 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, John Strawser and two sisters-in-law, Elsie Blackburn and Marti Nelson. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Hanlin; one son, Floyd Collins; one granddaughter, Jody McCrobie, two great granddaughters, Kaytlen Riley and Courtney Roper; one brother, Kenny Collins and one sister, Sandra Collins. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Field Funeral Home on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at noon with Pastor Marty Turner officiating. A private family burial will follow in the Terra Alta Cemetery.
