Obituary of Gary Liston

Gary James "Sheep" Liston, 62, of Masontown passed away Monday, April 7, 2014. He was born in Morgantown on January 4, 1952, a son of the late Russell James Liston and Anna Theresa Sobol Liston. Gary was a loving husband and brother. He retired from the WVU Dairy Farm after 38 years of service. Gary loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Nancy Ann Liston; a sister, Lorraine Weaver and husband Randy of Arthurdale; a brother, Robert Liston and wife Tracy of Independence; a nephew, Nathan Weaver and wife Rebecca of Lookout; a niece, Theresa Cavender of Terra Alta; a great nephew, Garrett James Weaver of Lookout; three great nieces, Anna Rebecca Weaver of Lookout, Shelby Lee Cavender and Donna Cavender both of Independence; two uncles, Charles Liston and wife Phyllis of Kingwood and Alex Sobol of Arthurdale; mother-in-law, Ferrell Nine of Heartland of Preston County and Honey, the pup. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 4 - 8 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Nathan Williamson officiating. To honor Gary's wishes cremation will follow. Memorial donations may be made in Gary's memory to Monongalia General Hospital, 1200 JD Anderson Dr., Morgantown, WV 26505.
