Juanita Wolfe

Obituary of Juanita Wolfe

Juanita M. Wolfe, 89 of Newburg, entered her eternal rest on Thursday May 30, 2013 at Heartland of Preston County surrounded by her family. "To be absent from the body, and to be present with The Lord." II Cor. 5:8 She was born on April 27, 1924 in Tunnelton, a daughter of the late Cora Lee Phillips and Charlie Phillips. She was Pentecostal by faith. Her life was a living testimony of her commitment and faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She won many souls for the Lord and continued to minister even in her final days. Next to her love for the Lord, her next greatest passion was for her family and loved ones. Truly a Proverbs 31 woman; her price is far above rubies and we called her blessed. She is survived by a son Leonard Wolfe and wife Reggie of Newburg; a daughter, Linda Stevenson of Newburg; seven grandchildren, Darrell & Gloria Stevenson, Sonynita & Jim Fitchett, Rodney Wolfe, Leyanita & RJ Yost, Vanitalyn & Bill Harrison, Rochelle & Sean Hatfield, and Greg Wolfe; and three great grandchildren; Darrell Stevenson, Jr., Hailey Wolfe, and Alaina Hatfield; two great, great grandchildren; Chelsea Stevenson and Cameron Poling; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her loving husband Kermitt Wolfe; one great grandson Justin Stevenson; three brothers, Paul "Dutch" Phillips, Floyd Phillips, and Kenneth Phillips; four sisters, Rose Goff, Olive Garrett, Lucy Whetzel, and Agnes Phillips; and one son in law Jennings Stevenson. Family and friends are invited to attend her home going celebration at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Sunday, June 2, 2013, from 1-9pm and on Monday, June 3, 2013, from noon until the 1pm service time, with the Pastor John Wagner officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Reedsville. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Heartland of Preston County and Hospice Care Corp., for the care they provided to Juanita This is not goodbye, only "Until We Meet Again". I Thessalonians 5:16-18 Condolences may be made to the family at www.fieldfuneralhome.com.
