Obituary of Donna JoAnn Boring

Donna JoAnn (Hall) Boring, 81, of Masontown, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Bretz, WV on February 26, 1935, a daughter of the late James Hall and Beatrice (Abrams) Hall. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Masontown where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and served as a deaconess. JoAnn is survived by her husband, Ray Boring Jr.; one son, Charles W. Johnson, Jr. and wife Tonya of Reedsville; one daughter, Rhonda S. Shillingburg and companion Jim Uphold of Kingwood; one sister, Marlene Rohr of Masontown; four grandchildren, Simon Johnson of Reedsville, Cortney Johnson of Weirton, Gary Shillingburg and Ricky Stout both of Masontown; three great grandchildren; five stepchildren; Mary Ann Varner and husband Vernon, Robert Boring and wife Janet, Patrick Boring and wife Tammy, Vanessa Rossetti and husband Tim and Danny Boring and wife Missy; 13 step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Hall and Sonny Hall and one sister, Betty Mae Reed. Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service time with Rev. William Winston officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Masontown.
