James Manown Albright, 80, of Kingwood, WV, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026, at home, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Kingwood, WV on September 24, 1945, a son of the late James Albright and Juanita (Johnson) Albright DeBerry.

Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jim worked as a coal miner for more than 30 years. After his retirement he built his own sawmill and the equipment to go with it which he ran for several years. He loved NASCAR, football, fishing, bird watching, gardening and reading. Jim was known to be long winded and enjoyed telling stories, but above all he loved and cherished time with his family.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Linda (Sirbaugh) Albright; a son, James Albright of Masontown; three daughters, Melinda Lasley of Ohio, Kelly Tasker of Reedsville, WV and Melissa Smith of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Damien Cricks and wife, Robin, Ezekiel Cricks and wife, Danica, Logan Tasker and wife, Kristin, Analeese Tasker, Olivia Tasker and Megan Wyrick; four great grandchildren, Arya, Connor, Amya, and Zayden Cricks; three sisters, Robin Glover, Vickie Hodge and Gwenda Albright; one brother, Steven DeBerry and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Wayne DeBerry, Jr., Lynn DeBerry, David DeBerry and William "Bill" Albright and one sister, "Che-Che" Fortney.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 5 pm to 7 pm to share memories and visit with the family. Military Honors will be held at 7 pm by the Preston County Honor Guard. To honor Jim's wishes, Field Funeral Home will provide professional and compassionate cremation services after visitation.
