Ernest Leroy Blosser, 61, of Bretz, WV passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Mon Health Medical Center with his fiancée by his side, following a long battle with cancer.

He was born on July 26, 1965, in Morgantown, WV, a son of the late James Blosser and Marie (Long) Blosser.

Ernie enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler and doing anything outdoors. He was a handyman to anyone who needed his help.

He is survived by the love of his life, Carole Hardesty; sons, Eric Sines of Bluefield, Justin Blosser and wife, Kristen of Mill Creek and Brandon Massie of Bretz; daughters, Candina Cagle and Amber Blosser; biological sons, Luke Titchenell and wife Amanda and Christopher McCabe; step children, who he loved as his own, Lavan Titchenell and wife, Tiffany, and Elizabeth Friend and husband, Brandon; brothers, James Davis and wife, Sherri, Kim Davis and Kenny Blosser; in-laws, George Hardesty and wife, Jan; eight grandsons, ten granddaughters, 3 great grandsons; many cousins, nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by one son, Zachary Shrout; three grandsons; a sister, Iona Riley and two brothers, Donald Davis and Kevin Blosser.

Ernie’s final wish was for everyone to celebrate the life he lived, not mourn the death he died.

To honor Ernie’s wishes, Field Funeral Home will provide professional and compassionate cremation services. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at the Masontown VFW Reception Hall on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 2 pm.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ernie’s Girls at the Mon Health Infusion Center for all you did to help him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Field Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
