Alex William Nemeth, 74, of Reedsville, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Kingwood Healthcare Center in Kingwood, WV.

He was born in Budapest, Hungary on September 22, 1951. Alex left Hungary at the age of 8 years old with his grandparents.

He was a beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather. Alex worked as a carpenter for many years and had an amazing creative talent with his hands. Almost everything in his home, he had made. He was also an avid football fan; he loved to watch the Giants when they played.

Alex is survived by his daughter, Melissa Bracken and husband, Richard of Kingwood; four grandchildren, Richard Bracken Jr and wife, Sierra; Kayla Atkins and husband, Jonathan, Jacob Bracken and one additional grandchild and five great grandchildren, Scarlett Atkins, Bentley Atkins, Anna Bracken and two additional great grandchildren.

To honor Alex's wishes, he will be cremated and no public services will be held. Field Funeral Home has been entrusted with professional and compassionate cremation services.
