William "Bill" Spiker, Sr., 85, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, at Rosewood Nursing Home in Grafton, WV.
Born on January 5, 1941, Bill was the son of the late Buck and Edna Spiker. He graduated from Preston High School in 1961 and proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years following graduation. Bill often spoke fondly of his time in the military and took great pride in serving his country.
Following his military service, Bill dedicated 32 years of employment to Sterling Faucet in Sabraton, West Virginia, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Diane Spiker; his granddaughter, Ashley Adams; his great-granddaughters, Makiya and Myla; his daughter-in-law, Carla Spiker; his brothers, Kenneth Spiker and wife, and James Spiker and wife; and his sister, Sandy. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Edna Spiker, and his beloved and only son, William "Billy" Spiker, Jr.
Bill found great joy in hunting, fishing, and watching football. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his stories of military service, and the pride he carried throughout his life.
In keeping with his wishes, Bill generously donated his body to West Virginia University for research and educational purposes. There will be no public viewing or funeral service at this time. A memorial service celebrating Bill's life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, doctors, and caregivers at Rosewood Nursing Home for the compassionate care and kindness they provided during Bill's final days.
Bill's legacy of service, dedication, and love for his family will be remembered always.
