Nancy Jane Metz, 78, of Arthurdale, WV, passed away unexpectedly from this world into heaven on July 15, 2026, where she was welcomed with open arms by Jesus, her wonderful mother, and all who loved her.

Nancy was born on February 5, 1948, in Morgantown, WV, to the late Paul Fullmer and Beatrice Liston Morgan. She is survived by her sisters, Marilyn Bolinger of Kingwood and Peggy (Marvin) Morgan of Albright. She is also survived by a nephew, Mark Bolinger; nieces, Renea Kizina, Sherry Close, Jo Beth Martin, and Heidi LaRue. In addition, she is also survived by many great nephews and great nieces.

She leaves behind her beloved cat, Lily, who will miss her mom very much. Lily provided Nancy with many years of love and comfort. Prior to Lily, Nancy had other special cats that she enjoyed and loved over the years. Poco, her yorkie, from years past always held a specific place in her heart.

Nancy was a beautician and started her first job as a hairdresser in 1967. In 1973, she started working at Stacy Lynne’s in Kingwood. In 1999, she took a leap of faith and bought the shop renaming if Flhair Salon, where she remained until her retirement. She loved her Patrons and would go to their house to pick them up if they could not make it to an appointment.

She didn’t have children of her own, but she cared for her nieces and nephews giving them lots of love, laughter, and affection. They all held a distinctive place in her heart.

Nancy was very outgoing, the life of the party. If you asked anyone that would have known her, I’m sure they would comment on her very characteristic laugh. Anytime you saw her, she had her hair fixed, makeup on and looking great! You could always count on a funny story from her with something crazy that had happened and before you knew it, everyone would be doubled over from laughing so hard. Nancy will be greatly missed at family gatherings, but leaves behind innumerable, wonderful memories.

Nancy had a great heart and wanted to help others. She was faithful to always select a name from an Angel Tree to outfit a child at Christmas. She enjoyed feeding the birds and deer and enjoyed watching them come into the back yard. They were fed, no matter what the weather conditions.

Preceding her in death was her partner, Tim Wildasin; brother, Renick Liston; brother-in-law, Clarence Bolinger; nephew, Scott Morgan, and great nephews, Matthew Martin and Tyler Close.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the store clerks at various local establishments who would be sure to help her out if she was feeling under the weather.

To honor Nancy’s wishes, she will be cremated with no services. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
