Harvey Eugene Burke, 64, of Newburg, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood.

He was born in Kingwood, WV, on October 21, 1961, a son of the late Jesse H. Burke and Lucy Jane (Summerfield) Burke.

Harvey loved camping, hunting, tinkering on anything with a small engine, fishing, and joking around. Above all, he loved his family, especially his grandsons. He owned and operated Harvey's Small Engine Repair for 31 years.

Harvey is survived by his companion, Michele Pyles; one son, Shane "Bud" Burke and wife, Jordan; two grandsons, Blake and Brett; one brother, Rodney Burke and wife, Sherry; one sister, Linda Foster; one sister-in-law, Gail Burke; many nieces and nephews, and special friends, Tim Watkins, Tom Metz, and Chris Turner.

In addition to his parents, Harvey is preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Burke, Thomas Burke and Truman Burke, infant sister, Carol Burke, and two sisters, Norma Simmons and Kathy Burke.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV, on Thursday July 16, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm time of service with Ronnie Wiles, Jr. officiating. To honor his wishes, after the service, the Field Funeral Home will provide professional and compassionate cremation services.
