Jeffrey Lynn McLaughlin, 67, of LaGrange, OH, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026, at home after a short illness.

He was born in Oberlin, OH on May 28, 1958, a son of the late Robert Francis Sr. and Mary Emilee (Brown) McLaughlin.

Jeff was a 1976 graduate of Keystone High School of LaGrange, OH. He then attended the Lorain County Community College and graduated with an associate degree in electronics. Jeff worked at Nelson Stud in their electronic department for several years. Jeff was extremely kindhearted; he loved and cared for numerous pets throughout his life. He enjoyed sports and was a Cleveland Indians fan.

Jeff is survived by his brother, Robert F. McLaughlin Jr. and wife, Wendy of Arthurdale; his niece, Tonya Cruz and husband, Javier of Elyria, OH; four nephews, Robert Wooley and wife, Heidi of Santa Maria, CA, Michael Wooley and wife, Dawn of Elyria, OH, Stephen McLaughlin and wife, Sarah of Reedsville, WV and Kyle McLaughlin and wife, Shaina of Maidsville, WV and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his sister, Lillian Evelyn McLaughlin.

A private graveside service will be held at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Reedsville, WV.
